House Extension
Project Overview
We were tasked with extending a 15 x 15 addition to an existing home, providing additional space and enhancing the overall functionality of the residence. This project involved reinforcing both the interior and exterior structures that had sustained damage, ensuring the new addition would seamlessly integrate with the existing home.
Structural Reinforcement
The first step of the project was to assess and reinforce the damaged interior and exterior structures. Our team carefully strengthened the foundational elements to ensure the safety and durability of the new addition. This included repairing damaged walls, fortifying the framework, and preparing the site for the new construction.
Tyvek Wrapping and Weatherproofing
To protect the new structure from the elements, we wrapped the entire addition with Tyvek, a high-performance weather barrier that provides excellent protection against moisture and air infiltration. This step was crucial in maintaining the energy efficiency and longevity of the new extension.
Window Installation
The project also included the installation of new, energy-efficient windows that not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the home but also improved its insulation. The new windows allowed natural light to flood the interior spaces, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Siding Installation and Final Touches
To complete the project, we added new siding that perfectly matched the existing home, giving the addition an amazing, cohesive look. The siding not only improved the home's curb appeal but also provided an additional layer of protection against the elements. The final touches ensured that the addition blended seamlessly with the original structure, making it look like it was always part of the home.
