Project Overview
Art and Son's Construction is proud to have renovated over 500 apartments at The Maddison Apartments in Herinco, VA. In collaboration with 1st Choice Construction, we transformed these units with a complete modern makeover, enhancing their functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Demolition and Structural Preparation
We began each renovation with a full-scale demolition of the existing unit interiors. Following demolition, our team meticulously patched, mudded, and repaired any imperfections on the drywall and ceilings. This crucial step ensured a flawless foundation for the new design.
Interior Finishing and Cabinet Installation
Once the walls were prepped and painted, we installed new trim where necessary, adding a fresh, clean finish to each space. Our carpenters then installed high-quality cabinets throughout the units, including both kitchens and bathrooms. These cabinets were subsequently templated for granite countertops, adding a luxurious touch to the interiors.
Flooring, Fixtures, and Final Touches
After the cabinetry was in place, a separate contractor installed new flooring and carpet throughout the units. We then followed up by installing bathroom and kitchen fixtures, including faucets and plumbing. Each unit was outfitted with new mirrors and stylish mirror frames, completing the look of the bathrooms.
Electrical and Lighting Upgrades
To modernize the living spaces, we installed brand-new ceiling fans in each bedroom and living room. Energy-efficient LED lights were added to closets and hallways, along with contemporary LED kitchen lighting. A stylish backsplash was also installed in the kitchen once the granite countertops were set.
Final Installations
The final phase of the renovation involved installing new kitchen appliances, window blinds, and air vent covers, ensuring each unit was fully equipped and ready for residents to enjoy.
